Reeth Wallathon 2

May 23, 2020 - May 24, 2020

Calling All Volunteers!

Have you ever fancied putting something back into the Community, for a worthwhile cause?

Following the success of the Wallathon in October, the Dry Stone Walling Association (DSWA), in conjunction with The Prince’s Countryside Fund, is working with local farmers in the Reeth area to restore some of the 3500 metres of walls devastated by floods, in August 2109.

A second Wallathon is planned for 23rd – 24th May. to rebuild 250 metres of Dry Stone Walling.

The event is open to all whether DSWA members or not, from novice to the master craftsman, to helpers move stone or build a section of wall alongside a master craftsman. There will be jobs for everyone and even if you can only make one day, it would be a great help.

All attendees to contact DSWA Office to confirm their attendance by phone / email, so that numbers can be evaluated, and stints can be set up in advance.

Please let us have the following information:

  • Name & Branch (if you area member)
  • Experience- novice, initial, intermediate, advanced, master craftsman, instructor, first aider (Non-wallers are more than welcome)
  • Contact Number
  • Email Address
  • Attendance (Saturday / Sunday / Both)

Meeting point along with directions to be forwarded closer to the event.
Arrangements for refreshments to be discussed further, but it is advisable to bring a packed lunch.

Many Thanks
